Clogged Dryer Vent?

Posted by on August 25, 2018

If your clothes aren’t getting dry, or are taking longer to dry than normal, your dryer vent may be clogged. A quick and easy way to clean the vent yourself is to take a shop vac and reverse the hose by putting it on the exhaust port instead of the intake port – it is now a high-powered blower! First, remove the dryer hose from the vent opening. Then, place the end of the vac hose into the vent and pack a towel around it to prevent blow-back. Turn on the shop vac, and the lint causing the clog should be blown out of the exhaust opening. If this does not work and your clothes are still not drying properly, contact us – we’ll be happy to come out and take a look!
