Front Load Washers – Do’s and Don’ts

Posted by on December 5, 2015

DON’T’S:

Don’t over-soap … two tablespoons is usually enough

Don’t fill over two thirds with clothes

Don’t drag the clothes out of the washer – you may rip the gasket

DO:

Leave door open when not in use to try to avoid mildew

Use “control lock” if you have children that may climb into washer

Use “HE” soap

Empty pockets to protect the drain pump from foreign objects, drain pump is what i replace the most often

Clean filter once every 6 months ( some don’t have one)

Consider having a surge protector (strip with reset button works) for washer and dryer (if dryer is gas) as they both have computer  boards
